Still many members did not complete their profile. But providing some informations about yourself within your personal profile is the best and most effective way to introduce yourself to the community and helps other people find you.

One of our main goals is to unite and connect the German-speaking community in British Columbia. In this context connecting people means, help them find other people with similiar interests and/or similar personal, familial or work-oriented environment. But how could someone find other people of his interest, if more than a third of all existing members are not included into the search results?

There is (or was) definitely only or mainly one reason for each new (and existing) member to register on GermanBC: getting connected to the community, which means getting connected to other people. Certainly the wanted type of connection differs. Some are looking for personal or familial connections to find new friends and enlarge their social contacts. Others are looking for work-oriented and/or business connections.

So, if your main goal being on GermanBC is getting connected too, then why not introduce yourself within your personal profile and tell the other members what your are looking for? Being found means getting connected.

And if the really reason why you did not complete your profile is being afraid about finding your data globally spread over the internet, try out your personal privacy settings; the default settings do only allow registered members to view your profile.
