This week we are starting the first part of one of our new services: offering vacation and long-term rentals.

We are very happy with this project, because it enables us to provide support for German-speaking businesses on site (all having an offer for a vacation or long-term rental) and help all German-speaking people aroung the world finding what they need and are looking for.

The service for vacation and long-term rentals will consist of two parts after its full completion.

On the one hand all types of business listings (including the free listings) will enable the owner to offer an availability check to interested people if the listing is about one or more vacation or long-term rentals. This is the first part of this new service, which is set into operation this week.

On the other hand, if there are some vacation or long-term rentals registered in appropriate listings and therefore offering the availability check, a new page named "Rentals" will be published on GermanBC. Using this new page interested people will be able to browse all registered rentals according to location, price and other criteria like it could be done on a vacation or rentals portal. It even will be possible to search for all available rentals within a specified date span.

The whole service for vacation and long-term rentals is and will be build upon the service engine of Planyo. This means on the one hand, that if you want to offer some rentals within your business listing and on our new upcoming rentals page, you will have to register and apply for a Planyo ID. On the other hand using an external service provider enables us to let all participating people offer these features on their own website or even on other rentals-based portals (which are a member of Planyo too).

Not only some regular requests and posts on the forums are showing, that there people looking for rentals on GermanBC; checking the reports of search engine queries linking to us shows, that a third of all incoming query are about searching a vacation or long-term rental in or near Vancouver or British Columbia.
