We enhanced the community area with some small new things, which could and should help all members in the virtual and the real community.

Group Community Care started

We created a new system group "Community Care" where all registered users of GermanBC will automatically join. On the one hand this group will be our tool to publish important internal notes to the community, on the other hand within this group all members could ask questions about using the system and other members could help them by explaining things or giving hints or tips. All contents of this group will not be accessible by the public.

Video upload limit raised

According to a complete redesign of the video upload function, the upload limit is now raised to 512 MB. While uploading a video there is now a progress bar displayed which will show you the status of the upload. But still (and in future) the session timeout will not be updated by the upload. So if you think, that your upload may take longer than 15 minutes, you should use the "Remember Me" box checked for login.

Suggest your favorite Business

Many members regularly ask for german, austrian or swiss food and beverage and where to buy them. Sure there are some shops listed in our directory, but there are more. If you do know shops and stores where to buy german, austrian or swiss products, then recommend them to our directory. They will then be listet in a basic listing (free of charge) within our directory to help people find what they want.

Show your other Profiles

You are now able to enter your Skype, LinkedIn, XING, Facebook and MeetUp ID into your personal profile on GermanBC. This enables all other members to find out more about you or connect to you within these other social networks. Entering your Skype ID results in showing your online status within your profile. Adding your MeetUp ID shows your current MeetUp schedule for the next days.
